I'm going to Disney World!

Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for my vacation at Disney and the WDW Half Marathon and Family 5k. I couldn't be more excited! In addition to my donald costume (which will be fully revealed next week) I made a sweatshirt to wear the morning of the half marathon to keep me warm before the race starts.

My sweatshirt
It's really hard to photograph, but hopefully you get the idea. Basically I cut out the mickey head with 13 point 1 cut out inside, then stuck it to my sweatshirt. Then I sprayed it with bleach and let it sit for a few minutes and threw it in the wash.

Before I go, I thought I'd share a few of my goals for 2012, since it is the new year!

  1. Run in at least 12 races - No big surprise here. I love races!
  2. Run at least 400 miles - If I don't have a major running vacation (ie quitting for 2 months again), this should be a reachable goal.
  3. Blog more often - When I quit running, I also quit blogging for a while, but I'm determined not to let that happen again.
  4. Stress less - I'm a worrier and I let the little things get to me too much sometimes. In 2012 I want to take more time to relax and do things like yoga and meditation to help with some of the stress.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 2011 and that you have an even better 2012!

Q: What are your new year's resolutions?

  1. You are so crafty with clothing! I love that sweatshirt, and may have to steal that idea later! Good luck in the race, and I am beyond jealous that you are headed to Disney World. Can't wait to hear all about it!

One of my goals for the year is also to run 12 races - I may have to get a job to support that goal though!

  2. Love the shirt! Can we have step by step directions on how you did it ? My head is spinning with the possibilities! I too am hooked on Pinterest. I am toying with the idea of running a half before my 50th bday in April
